Overnight Strawberry Oats

Strawberries have always been a great ingredient for breakfast recipes, from Bakery Style Strawberry Muffins and Strawberry Yogurt Smoothie to Overnight Strawberry Baked French Toast. Today, I want to show you a simple, yet delicious recipe for Strawberry Overnight Oats with Molassity Pomegranate Molasses.

Strawberry Overnight Oats

Overnight oats recipes have been around for a while now, but finding one that suits your taste buds can be tricky – given how unique the dish is. Somewhere between a porridge, cheesecake, and a smoothie, strawberry overnight oats are a nutritious and tasty breakfast option for you and your family. The best part? It’s already been prepared the night before, so all you have to do in the morning is bite into it!

This recipe is especially useful for those who are always on the go and are too busy in the mornings to have a proper breakfast. Or for those who just like to be organized and prepare things beforehand. Preparing a portion of strawberry overnight oats doesn’t take long. Strawberry Overnight Oats are also great during spring and summer because you don’t have to cook it over a hot stove in the sweltering heat.

As I said before, strawberry is one of my favorite ingredients when it comes to breakfast recipes. It goes perfectly with overnight oats – and when topped with Molassity Pomegranate Molasses, this recipe is taken up a notch!

This recipe makes enough for a hearty serving for two people, or if you’re making it for yourself, you can save some for later – it is great to snack on throughout the day!

Strawberry Overnight Oats

How Long Should You Soak Overnight Oats?

While the name implies that you need to soak them overnight, that’s not always necessary. If you’re in a hurry, you can also keep them for 2-4 hours. The important process in this recipe is to let the oats absorb the liquid. Staying true to its name, some recipes will require you to soak them for 8 hours. While oats soaked for less time will obviously not be as soft, I don’t really mind the slight difference, and I don’t think you will either given how delicious they are!

So without further ado, here’s the recipe:

  • ⅓ cup of fresh strawberries, 3 extra strawberries for topping
  • ½ cup of rolled oats
  • ½ cup of almond milk (or alternative plant-based milk)
  • 2 tbsp cashew/peanut butter
  • 1 tbsp ground flaxseed
  • 2 tbsp Molassity Pomegranate Molasses (1 for mixing into strawberries, 1 for topping when serving)
  • 2 tsp of fresh lemon juice
  • ⅓ -½ cup of almond/coconut yogurt
  • Granola mix for topping (I used a Paleo Birchia mix)
  • Glass mason jar with an airtight lid for storing in the fridge


  • Add strawberries to a glass jar and mash with a fork, depending on how chunky or smooth you like it. Add in 1 tbsp of Molassity and stir. 
  • In another bowl, combine oats, cashew butter, milk, lemon juice, and flaxseed. 
  • Add the oat mix on top of the strawberries in the mason jar, seal with a lid, and place in the fridge overnight. 
  • The next morning, top with yogurt, strawberries, granola, and 1 tbsp of reserved Molassity and enjoy!

The oats will stay fresh in the fridge for 1-2 days, so it makes a great breakfast and snack throughout the day. And since you’ve already prepped it, that means more beauty sleep for you!
