Fried Haloumi and Pomegranate Sandwich

Ingredients

  • 200 - 300g haloumi cheese
  • 1 fresh tomato
  • 1 bunch salad greens
  • 1 bunch fresh mint
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 tbsp Molassity Pomegranate Molasses
  • 1 medium baguette or two large slices of your favorite bread

Method

  1. Slice the tomatoes, and dice the salad greens, and mint.
  2. Slice the baguette down the middle and butter if desired.
  3. Add the salad greens and the mint to the bread, and layer the slices of tomato on top of them.
  4. Add the olive oil to a pan and fry both sides of the haloumi until golden brown. Remove from the heat and, when safe to handle, add to the sandwich.
  5. Drizzle Molassity Pomegranate Molasses directly onto the cheese.
  6. Eat whilst the cheese is still warm for best effect.
